Reader Submission: My Cleaning Tool Renovation Record
In daily life, cleaning work always makes people both love and hate it. Love the cleanliness and comfort it brings, hate the tediousness and fatigue in the process. However, by chance, I underwent a unique cleaning tool renovation at home, which not only made household chores more efficient but also added a bit of fun.
The beginning of the story stems from my re examination of the old cleaning tools in my home. The brooms and mops that used to be handy seem to gradually lose their vitality over time and are no longer as easy to use. Just as I was troubled by this, a thought flashed through my mind - why not do it yourself and transform them into tools that better meet my needs?
With this idea in mind, I embarked on a journey of exploration. The destination is very clear - Zhisheng Daily Necessities at Unit A1, 15th Street, 2nd Floor, Gate 91, Zone 4, Yiwu International Trade City. Here, it is a hub for countless daily necessities and a meeting point for creativity and practicality. Entering the store, a dazzling array of cleaning supplies comes into view, from traditional brooms and mops to various high-tech cleaning tools, everything is available. But my goal is to find raw materials that can inspire me to transform.
After some selection, I finally identified several seemingly ordinary but potentially valuable items: an old mop handle, several discarded cloths, and some unused plastic bottles. In the eyes of others, these may just be garbage, but in my eyes, they are treasures about to be reborn.
After returning home, I immediately started my renovation plan. Firstly, I reinforced the mop handle to ensure that it does not bend or break during use. Next, I used scissors and needle and thread to cut the discarded cloth into a suitable shape and sewed it onto one end of the mop handle to create a detachable and easy to clean mop head. This design not only facilitates my replacement and cleaning of the mop head, but also greatly improves cleaning efficiency.
The transformation of plastic bottles is even more interesting. I cut them into appropriate lengths and drilled small holes at the bottom, then fixed them on the other side of the mop handle. In this way, the plastic bottle becomes a simple water spray device. During the cleaning process, I can easily spray cleaning agents or clean water onto the ground without having to frequently bend down to fetch water from the bucket.
After a series of modifications, my cleaning tools have been completely refreshed. They not only become more practical and efficient, but also incorporate my personal creativity and hard work. Every time I use these modified tools for cleaning, I feel an unprecedented sense of achievement and satisfaction.
This renovation experience has made me deeply realize that many difficult problems in life can be solved through innovation and renovation. As long as we dare to try and explore, we can make ordinary days more exciting. As one of the starting points and sources of inspiration for my renovation journey, Zhisheng Daily Necessities also left a deep impression on me. I believe that in the future, I will continue to seek more creativity and inspiration here to add color to my life.
